Rockwell T2 Dial Adjustable Safety Razor

Changing from Merkur 34C to Rockwell was positive. A better shave. Closer shave. Less strokes for better results.

Final Update: they made it right and I have changed my review to reflect this. Once the error was made known to them they fixed it immediately.

Update: they got back with me and are shipping the proper razor. I will update the review as soon as I have the correct razor in hand.

As of right now I was sent the wrong razor. I will be glad to change this review once the issue us resolved.

So far so good. I’m still learning the aggressive levels 1-6 on my face. I start with and aggressive 5 or 6 with the grain then dial down to 4 for an across the grain pass, a 3 or 2 against the grain if I’m going a three pass shave. I think that’s how it’s done.

Very nicely weighted safety razor. I like that it is adjustable. Have used cartridge razors for over 40 years. I feel like the T2 gives me a closer better shave than any cartridge ever did. Great razor!

GQ Best Safety Razor - The Rockwell T2

I had wanted the T2 three years ago but thought it was too expensive and looked fragile with all the moving parts. I got the Rockwell 6S instead and it has been a great bulletproof razor. A month ago I saved up and bought the Stainless T2. It is a much better razor than the 6S for a number of reasons. It's much faster and easier to clean and change blades. It shaves smoother, possibly due to the altered curvature of the top of the T2. The infinitely adjustable blade gap is much easier and friendlier than swapping out the plates on the 6S. If you are clumsy get the 6S, but if you want a really great fine tuned shave, T2 all the way.

I was a bit concerned about purchasing/using the Rockwell T2 as I have just returned to wet shaving after many years using the plastic rubbish and thought it may have been a step to far. I need not have worried, once I had discovered my sweet spot setting for each pass, I was well away. Quality build and at a fantastic affordable price. Rockwell blades are great too, I have used other brands of blade and I have had no issues. Thanks Rockwell, great product, as always.

My Gillette "Fat Boy" was stolen from my car on a vacation 50 years ago. I :adapted" to the current disposable blade systems which never gave the same results. With the T2 I'm getting the best shave once again.
