Problem: All multi-blade cartridges have a fundamental design flaw and your skin suffers for it. The problem is multiple blades, which can pull the hairs and cut them below skin level. When hairs are cut beneath the skin, they often curl and bend as they grow back, leading to skin irritation, and painful razor bumps. There's even a Wikipedia article explaining this! 

Solution: Using a single blade Rockwell Razor means no pulling and tugging is possible. Even better,  Rockwell Razors are adjustable, which ensures that hair is never cut shorter than the surrounding skin. With an adjustable single blade razor you eliminate the causes of ingrown hairs, razor bumps and shaving irritation.

For the Rockwell 2C, 6C and Rockwell 6S models - simply load a blade into the top cap, insert the base plate corresponding to the size you want to shave with and screw on the handle.
The number you see displayed on the bottom of your fully assembled razor is the size you're shaving with.

For Rockwell R1 and Model T Razors, simply twist the bottom of the handle to open up the butterfly blade loading mechanism.

We've made cutting yourself nearly impossible when shaving on our lowest size setting (R1). We recommend starting on this setting to get the feel of the razor and eliminate any risk of nicks while you're first starting out.

The only difference between the two designs is the materials we use to craft them. The Rockwell 6C is made from a chromed zinc alloy, while the Rockwell 6S is made from pure stainless steel. While the 6C is highly durable, the 6S is virtually indestructible. The 6S also has the word "Rockwell" engraved on each side of each base plate.
